How to Check If Your University Is Covered

Prodigy Finance maintains an active partner school list that is updated as new institutional partnerships are added. The fastest way to check is to search your university directly on Prodigy Finance's application portal. If your school does not appear, it is not currently a partner — Prodigy Finance loans cannot be used at non-partner institutions.

Schools are added as Prodigy Finance forms new partnerships. If your university is not currently listed, check again in 3–6 months or contact Prodigy Finance directly to ask whether a partnership is in progress.

Eligible Countries: Who Can Apply?

Prodigy Finance accepts applications from students who are citizens or permanent residents of over 150 countries. Notably, most US and UK citizens do not qualify for Prodigy Finance, as the product is designed for international students who cannot access domestic loan markets.

The countries with the highest approval rates historically include India, China, Brazil, Nigeria, Pakistan, Mexico, Indonesia, South Africa, Colombia, and Egypt. Students from these countries make up the majority of Prodigy Finance's borrower base.

What Expenses Does the Loan Cover?

Prodigy Finance loans primarily cover tuition and mandatory university fees. Some loan structures also allow coverage of living expenses, depending on the school and borrower profile. The maximum loan amount is set by Prodigy Finance's assessment of your programme's total cost of attendance.

Loans are disbursed directly to the university — Prodigy Finance does not transfer funds to the borrower's personal bank account.
